We welcome all our sister schools in the Nordics to join us for the 2019 edition of the Nordic Seminar in Gothenburg, August 11-17, 2019. The event is a continuation of the well-established cooperation between the Nordic Ballet Schools and the successful seminars from the previous years.
The Student Program is open for students age 13-16 at the member schools of the network, National Finnish Opera Ballet School in Helsinki, Norwegian National Ballet School in Oslo, Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm and Swedish National Ballet School in Gothenburg.

Seminar dates for students

Dance classes
The students will have classes in ballet, contemporary, floor barre and repertoire. Ballet- and contemporary classes and repertoire will be taught by international teachers that are regular guest teachers and friends of the Swedish National Ballet School in Gothenburg.

Students fee and accommodation
The price for the seminar is 600 EUR per student.
The participation fee covers tuition, accommodation including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack between classes as well as local bus ticket and joint activates such as the Seminar Party and a trip at Liseberg – Gothenburg amusement park (including entrance and ride pass).
The same package is included for 3 assisting parents from each visiting school. Additional parents can be added at the charge of 500 EUR.
Travel to and from Gothenburg is not included in the participation fee. We will meet you upon the arrival day August 11th at the Gothenburg Central Station and take you to the hotel.
All students will stay at the hotel including students from Gothenburg. The students from all four schools will be divided into three groups (according to the age/dance group). Each group will stay together and be accompanied by 1 parents from each school.

Application
Each guesting school can send max 35 students turning the age 13-16 during the year of 2019. All students current year 6 to 9 at the hosting school are welcome to participate. Each school need to send 1 assisting parents per age group, making a total of 3.
Each school need to submit their list of participations no later than April 12th, 2019. Payment of the seminar fee is done as one collective payment from each school, not later than May 10th.
The seminar is hosted by the parent association of the Swedish National Ballet School and their organization will send an invoice of the amount corresponding to the numbers of participants. Please include your invoice address with the submission of the list of the participants.
Seminar show
As the tradition we end the seminar with a presentation of the work we have done during the week. Each group will show extracts from both classical repertoire and contemporary work.
The show will be held on Saturday morning at Lorensbergsteatern.

Activities
When we are not dancing we invite you to experience Gothenburg together with us.
You will have time to explore the city of Gothenburg or go for a swim.
Together we will take a trip to Liseberg – Gothenburg famous amusement park (entrance and ride pass are included in the participation fee).
Thursday evening we invite all participating students and teachers to a Seminar Party.
In the evenings there will be possible to take part in Dance Talks with some of our seminar teachers.
